PayPal has recently come under fire for a policy to fine accounts $2500 for expressing opinions that are contrary to their terms of service. They indicate this policy was “errantly” written, reviewed, approved, and released to the public by a powerful team of lawyers that any billion-dollar Silicon Valley company would certainly retain. The idea of this being a “mistake” seems quite ludicrous. It’s inconceivable that they would not have seen just how hideous this policy is and how it would be seen once the public caught wind of it. So, I am on the fence as to how to process this. Is PayPal that stupid? I don’t think so. So, what’s the actual motive? In this Paul Joseph Watson does a good job talking down his nose at us about it.
