The powerful will use this panic and fear to push for greater control. This will come in removing anonymity, tying access to a government ID. Also by pushing digital, programable currency. This will mean there will be no financial transactions that the government cannot see or even control. By being programmable, the currency can be made to only be usable for certain goods or services. Also only usable in certain locations such as your 15 minute prison…I mean city. This is all scary stuff.
