This is a member of the Australian Parliament that is considered a Liberal Democrat. I suppose it is appropriate that he is from down under since the label is so incredibly inverted from what it means in the American political lexicon. In the Aussie version Liberal Democrat apparently mean libertarian. This is so contrary to what “liberal” or “Democrat” in the US stands for. He makes an incredible speech that does not only speak to the Australian people but also to the world.
