Cobalt is used in all cell phone, laptops and electric cars. This is where it all comes from. Just hideous. Fortunately there are some emerging battery technology that could greatly reduce the need for this metal. Although, that does not bode well for the people in the open pit mines. They have very little but very little is better than nothing. They need a government that will create a better economy that promotes investment to make real jobs for the adults and schools for the children.
