Clovis Hospital (not certain location) was allegedly giving a man Remdesivir against the family’s wishes. They were also allegedly withholding food and water from him. This could be protocol with the medication since it is known to stop kidney function. The family was being blocked from entry to the hospital. They were being stonewalled when attempting to contact anyone for information. Finally a hospital spokesman comes out and explains that things have changed now. He goes into a statement that he did not know what happened during the day but they have done a “reset” now. He was rather vague when asked if they would be giving the man further doses of Remdesivir. It was not “no”. He went back to the, “we are doing things different now” and “I can’t speak to what happened during the day”. It just sounds like a CYA situation for the hospital. Just sickening.
