Anyone in the US that thinks the government should pay for healthcare listen to this woman from the UK. She lost her mother in a horrific way due to lack of treatment, long waits for care, multiple misdiagnoses and just hideous bureaucracy. I know the US health system is not the greatest but we can typically get into a provider without terrible wait periods. I know the system is a whorish relationship between Big Pharma, the doctors / health systems and insurance companies that drive prices through the roof. We are the only country in the world that allows Pharma to advertise directly to patients. Not that it matters, the doctor’s are nothing more than drug dealers looking to give the public their fix of legal drugs to treat symptoms and not prevent or cure disease. A cured patient pays once. A treated patient pays for life. So no system is perfect but one you keep the government out of is always going to be better.
