He is 77 years old, so he could naturally have dementia. His mother had the condition 20 years ago when I first got together with his daughter. The thing that makes me suspicious is how fast the onset occurred. 3 years ago, he had no signs that this was occurring. Even a year ago, he seemed fine. It was only back last Thanksgiving when he got lost coming to our home that he has been to many, many times. We have lived in the home for 15 years and my wife is his only child. He comes here for every holiday. He got lost. In the subsequent few months, he has declined rapidly. The pace of the progression is what makes me think something is driving it and not just the natural progression of a degenerative condition.
