Australian commentator, Andrew Bolt of The Bolt Report does a breakdown on the lack of building dams in their nation. One of the primary reasons for the lack of new dam construction is consistently listed as a lack of need due to climate change. Bolt rightfully points out that had more dams been built, it could have captured the historic floods that the country has recently experienced and drought proofed their cities for decades. He also contends they could have saved many homes, businesses and even lives.
I want to point out that this shines a bright light on the climate change hypocrisy. When they are planning these future projects and eliminating them based on “climate change”, they would surely state that climate change is “settled science”. When their models do not perform as they would expect, they tend to fall back on the line of, “the science has evolved”. You can’t have it both ways, “settled science” cannot “evolve”. To me “settled” sound quite immutable. Is “evolve” not the antithesis of “settled”? Now that’s some real “NewSpeak” from the desk of Big Brother.
