Plagiarism experts have done multiple accounts of how Harris lifted considerable portions of her 2009 book Smart on Crime. The press has done their best to down play it but the Lotus Eaters panel does a great analysis of the issue. This type of thing knocked her boss out of the presidential race in 1988.
