Carl Sagan was incredibly smart. I suspect he was a liberal but he was a traditional liberal. One that in the sixties would have been highly suspect of anything the government said. He covers the subject of censorship on dissenting voices in science. His comments indicate he would believe the term “settled science” would the absolute antithesis of science. Question everything!!! Realize that humans are not perfect. More importantly realize they can also have malevolent motives in what they push. I wonder what he would say today.
